Contact Lenses Offered by Your Optometrist in Mesa and Scottsdale
At Riviera Opticare, Inc., we provide the area with contact lenses in Scottsdale and contact lenses in Mesa. Contacts are the ideal eyewear for people who require vision correction but don’t want the hassle of glasses. Once we determine your prescription, we can help you find the right contact type for your particular needs.

Types of Contacts We Offer
The two main contact types we offer are soft and hard lenses. Hard lenses are a form of lenses that are gas permeable. They consist of plastic along with another material that allows them to hold their shape. Even though they’re not flexible, these lenses do allow oxygen to reach the lens of your eyes. However, these contacts may not be as comfortable as soft contacts but correct vision better in people who have astigmatism or other vision issues.
Most people prefer soft contacts because they’re more comfortable and have more options. For instance, you may choose from daily, weekly, or monthly. We offer soft contacts you wear for two weeks and then dispose of as well.
Specialty Contacts
Toric contacts are special contact lenses in Scottsdale for people who have astigmatism. We have bifocal and multifocal lenses as well. Additionally, we have contacts for people who have keratoconus, a condition that affects the thickness of your cornea. We also provide contacts for those who underwent a corneal transplant and require special lenses.
Another type of specialty contact lenses we supply is hard-to-fit lenses. Our optometrists in Scottsdale or our optometrists in Mesa have contacts in rare sizes, so more people have access to contacts.

About Our Contact Fitting Process
Our fitting process begins with a comprehensive eye exam to evaluate your visual acuity. This portion of the test consists of our optometrist asking you to look through various lenses. After seeing which lenses help you read and see the best, this determines the strength of contact lenses you need to start with. You’ll also receive an examination of inside of our eye to determine if you have any eye problems. You must also undergo a contact fitting using a machine that sizes your eyes and for the optometrist to ensure the contacts are the right size, base curve, and power.
